Here we will be discussing the SSC CGL exam patterns and SSC CGL syllabus:
SSC CGL Exam is conducted in four tiers:-
- Tier I- Computer Based Examination (CBT)
- Tier II- Computer Based Examination (CBT)
- Tier III- Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
- Tier IV- Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification.

SSC CGL Tier I I I Exam Syllabus:-
The primary purpose of this Tier III examination is to test the candidates' linguistic abilities, including their command of English and Hindi grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills in both languages.
The test may include questions on current events and controversial subjects, such as demonetization, the empowerment of women, terrorism, the right to equality, women's freedom in a nation like India, and other such topics.
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to write passages, essays, applications, and summaries in order to be eligible to take this examination.
SSC CGL Tier I V Exam Syllabus:-

Candidates should familiarize themselves with the SSC CGL curriculum in order to gain a better understanding of the exam subjects and patterns, which will help them prepare more effectively.
Important Things to consider Regarding the SSC CGL Exam Structure:
The Staff Selection Commission insists on maintaining its authority to alter/modify/change the examination procedure at any time.
The SSC exam pattern for the CGL exam specifies that there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each incorrect answer submitted in Tier-I of the examination.
The SSC exam pattern for the CGL exam specifies that there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each incorrect answer submitted in Tier-I of the examination.
In SSC CGL Tier-II, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension), and there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each incorrect answer in Paper-I, Paper-III, and Paper-IV, respectively.
At the SSC CGL Tier-II level, all applicants are required to take both Paper-I and Paper-II.
According to the SSC CGL Exam Pattern, in Tier-II, Paper-III will be for only those candidates who apply for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for this Post/Paper. This requirement is in place to ensure that only the most qualified candidates move on to the next round of the examination.
Only the candidates who made the cut in Tier I for Paper IV (i.e., for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer) will be allowed to move on to Tier II's Paper IV portion of the examination.
The Computer Proficiency Test, Skill Test (whenever applicable), and Document Verification are all parts of the SSC CGL Exam Pattern, and they are all administered in accordance with the terms of the notice of examination.
