Important Points to consider before applying for SBI CBO jobs:-

  1. The candidate should only apply for vacancy of one Circle at a time. A candidate who is applying against vacancy of one Circle will not be eligible to apply against vacancy of any other Circle.
  2. To be considered for a position in a particular Circle, applicants must be proficient (reading, writing, and understanding) in one of the local languages of the Circle (mentioned next to each Circle), which must be chosen by the applicant at the time of application.
  3. Candidates who have defaulted the payments under any financing agreements with banks or NBFCs, including credit card balances, and who have not regularised or repaid their outstanding amounts under those agreements until the bank issues a letter of offer of appointment, shall not be eligible for appointment to the position.

Process of Selection for the SBI CBO posts:

  1. Online Test: There will be an exam that may be taken online and will consist of both objective questions (worth a total of 120 points) and descriptive questions (worth a total of 50 points).
  2. Screening: The online applications and supporting documents of applicants who have been shortlisted based on their performance in the online examination will be presented to the Screening Committee. This will take place after the applicants have completed the online examination.
  3. Interview: There will be a total of 50 points at hand for the interview. In order for candidates to be considered for the final selection, they need to achieve a certain minimum amount of qualifying marks during the interview. The Bank will determine the bare minimum score that must be achieved.
  4. Final Selection: Candidates are required to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills by passing both the online test and the interview. In order to get shortlisted in  the final merit list, the marks that were obtained during the interview will be coupled with the marks that were obtained from the online test, both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test. The final merit lists will be compiled with the use of a normalised approach that will assign the weights of the online test and interview, respectively, 75 and 25 percent of the total points.
