There are very few competitions by the government at school level in Bihar. NMMS is one among those few chances which gives opportunity for students of class 8th to prove or check themselves at state level.

The aim of the government is to identify talented kids early and support them financially for further studies. This exam not only boosts the confidence of selected kids but also prepares them for multiple choice questions which they don’t face in their school exams but will play major roles in upcoming competitive exams for them.  

It also gives a real picture to those who are not selected as where they stand. These scholarships also provide an opportunity to learn how to solve conceptual questions.

Important dates

NMMS Bihar will select 5433 students who will be awarded an allowance of INR  12000 per annum from 9th class up to class 12th. There will be two sections in this exam - Scholastic Aptitude Test(SAT) and Mental Ability Test(MAT) .One mark will be awarded for each right answer and there will be a time limit of 90 minutes for each section. The NMMS Bihar paper will consist of a total of 180 questions, 90 questions from each section.

The application process for this NMMS Bihar is completely online through biharscert portal. Applicants need to register themselves on this portal first and then fill required details. Then after selecting proceed option, an applicant needs to uopload all documents required and then click on submit.

Eligibility

• Must be studying in class 8 during the session 2022 to 2023

Must have past previous class with 55% marks

• Total annual parental income must be less than 3.5 lakhs per annum
• Must be a domicile of Bihar
  

There will be further reservations for districts from the total number of 5433 according to the population. The SAT section is subdivided among 3 parts as 35 quetions from science and social studies each and 20 questions form mathematics while MAT section is subdivided as 45 questions from Mental Ability, 20 questions from English and 25 questions from Hindi.

How to prepare for NMMS Bihar 2022 ?

The topics in the syllabus are from class 7th and 8th level  hence one just need to revise those topics deeply. Previous year questions are also available on the web . Aspirants must attempt those to get an idea about questions.

Is there any negative marking ?

There is no provison of negative marking in this examination therefore it is advised for candidates to attempt all questions even there is doubt in any question.

How much marks is needed for NMMS Bihar Scholarship ?

Exact cut offs will be declared at the time of final results and it varies according to the different categories. However 120 marks is safe for unreserved category and will only little low for other categories.

Where will be the centres for this exam ?

The centre for this exam will be in any school at district headquarter of respective districts of candidates.

What will be the registration fees for this exam ?

The registration for this scholarship will be INR 75 for EBC, BC, EWS, and unreserved categories and INR 50 for SC and ST categories.
