CGQDC : Chhattisgarh Quantifiable Data Commission

CGQDC : Introduction
On September 1, 2021, the mobile app and portal of the Chhattisgarh Quantifiable Data Commission were officially launched by Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. This was done so that it would be possible to determine the percentage of the state's population that is comprised of Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections. Using this application, survey work to determine the total number of members in these groups could also get underway.
It is important to take note that the State Government of Chhattisgarh has established the Chhattisgarh Quantifiable Data Commission in order to determine the population of the state's Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections. This is the first step in the process. It has recently established a new office in the state's capital city of Raipur, specifically in the Teak Bungalow Complex in the Katora Talab neighborhood.
Chips developed an application for mobile devices known as "CGQDC."
According to B.C. Sahu, who is the secretary of the Chhattisgarh Quantifiable Data Commission, the applicant will be required to sign up in the app after installing it on their phone in order to complete the application process.
Motive of CGQDC:
The state government's top priority, according to Chief Minister Shri Baghel, is to provide justice to every deprived section of society and to create equality for all kinds of opportunities for all sections of society. The state government has taken several steps in this direction to improve the lives of farmers, forest dwellers, laborers, and landless people. According to the Chief Minister, the State Government increased the reservation of Other Backward Classes from 14 percent to 27 percent by issuing an ordinance on September 4, 2019. Along with this, a 10% reservation was made for the economically disadvantaged sections.
According to the Chief Minister, some people challenged the state government's decision in court, and the Hon'ble High Court, while staying the implementation of the state government's decision, directed the state government to submit quantifiable data. Mr. Baghel stated that a Quantifiable Data Commission has been formed to implement the High Court's order and to legally strengthen the reservation provisions. The portal and mobile app, were designed to help the commission complete its work in a systematic and accurate manner. This mobile application will be very useful for both the commission and the applicants, and with a transparent system, the backward classes and economically disadvantaged groups will be counted. The Chief Minister urged people from other backward classes and economically weaker sections of the state to cooperate fully in the data collection work for this survey. Chips' 'CGQDC' mobile app for calculation is available in the Play Store, where it can be downloaded and the required information uploaded in the prescribed format. In addition, information can be entered for calculation in the Choice Center via the web portal www.cgqdc.in.
According to the Chief Minister, 5549 supervisors have been appointed for the survey throughout the state. 1103 supervisors have been appointed in urban areas, while 4446 have been appointed in gram panchayat areas.
Working Process of CGQDC
The applicant must register in the mobile app after installing it. For registration, the app provides four login options. The app can be accessed using an Aadhaar card, ration card number, the mobile number of the ration card's head, or the applicant's own mobile number. After logging in, the applicant's information will need to be uploaded by filling out a form in the app. The uploaded information will be automatically forwarded to the supervisor appointed for the applicant's ward in the Gram Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, or urban body. As soon as the applicant's information is received by the authorized supervisor in the applicant's area, he will verify it. The data will then be saved on the server. This information will be useful in calculating the state's Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections.
