Bihar Income, Caste, Residential and Category Certificate

These government-issued certificates are required for the majority of official work. However, thanks to the online portal, the entire process has become very simple.

Citizens in Bihar can apply through the Right To Public Services portal, also known as e-services Bihar. This rtps Bihar also offers a variety of other services through various departments.

This application process is entirely free of cost. Document issuance can take up to 21 days. Applicants can choose from central government services or state government services according to their need. One can easily apply by following simple steps -

• Go to the official website of rtps Bihar.
• Click on the General Administration Department on the left side.
• Then click on the required certificate option and choose from RO, Block and District level according to need.
• Fill all details carefully. An OTP will be sent to the registered number with aadhar card just after entering aadhar number.
• Attach all documents required.
• Click on submit after entering the captcha code. Print the receipt.

A mail will be sent immediately after the submission of the application process. The document will also be shared to the mail before the issue date given on the printed receipt.

After the issuance of a certificate from the Block level, applicants can apply for the verification of the same from the subdivision level if needed and then further to the district district level.

Important Points

• Applicants must have a passport size photo.

• To apply for category certificates, applicants must have Income, Residence and Caste certificates.
• Aadhar card and mobile number registered with the same must be available.
• Applicants must provide an active email id and mobile number.
• A self declaration (Form XVIIIB)  form will be required during application of category certificate which can be downloaded from the link provided above.
